No, bad.
Generative AI is an amazing technology but it has no place in art. I want to make game and play games that have an element of human soul. Whether that means the game is smaller or lower in “quality”, I’d rather that which gives me some insight into the minds of people that created it, than soulless imagery.
Not to mention the legally dubious means in-which the technology behind generative AI was developed. Work made by AI steals from creators.
So, I think it is worth making this post to assure players that no generative AI of any type will be used at Ceratops Games. Be that for asset creation, programming, or even reference and inspiration.
ALSO the environmental impact of AI data centres is astronomical! I want no part of that.
